Can somebody explain to me, what’s the difference between a hybrid golf club, a rescue club and a fairway club?
When would you use them? Which one would you use and why?
Fairway Club – Larger face and more forgiving of the three, the fairway clubs tend to be hit longer than rescue and hybrid.
You would use this club tee off on a hole where you need to be accurate to stay out of trouble instead of a driver. Also used to hit a longer seconds shot in something like a par5.
Hybrid – Are like irons with the backing of a wood. These clubs (depending on what degree you buy) can be hit just like a 3iron/2iron or whatever you like. If you struggle to hit longer irons this club would be perfect.
Also the Hybrid are perfect out of rough where a long iron would get caught when coming through impact and get snagged, the Hybrid is designed to cut through the grass.
The Rescue wood is much simliar to the Hybrid.

‘Rescue’ is the name the TaylorMade came up with for a hybrid because you could play it out of the rough and get a fair amount of distance.
I love my ‘rescue’ TM 19*
